Art is energetic, powerful, entertaining and thought provoking. It is nourishment for the soul. I am called to be a painter, it is a force within, an indescribable gift.
My portfolio is over a decade of work. It is just now that I am beginning to market my work. The larger 5’x 4’ pieces can take over a year to paint. The rare times I have had vistors / clients to my studio, the common question is “where have you been!” I have sold several pieces to private individuals who are serious art collectors, otherwise, I am an artist who is entering a larger market for the first time.
My passion is painting, and I paint all the time. I did not start painting until I was 51 years old, having never painted a thing in my life. This gift simply arrived when I was at a crossroads in my life. Now at 63, I have spent all my time since then painting nonstop. Sometimes I feel like a life force within is painting each piece, and I am simply the “bus driver” carrying out the task. It is truly a gift. My colors, shapes, and subject matter are beautiful and introspective. My underlying theme is to paint only joy, and that is representative in my work.
The woods are my muse. I hike / walk in the woods everyday. My two assistants, Sonar and Turn~Up, are French and Belgian. They sleep on the job, don’t care if I catch them sleeping, and pretend they can’t read so they don’t have to return emails (so lazy).
Also, I am a two time stage 4, breast and brain tumor, cancer survivor. For the past 11 years I have been involved in a clinical trial program at Memorial Sloane Kettering, to help find a cure for cancer, which is on the horizon. Let hope abound!
Peace to you,
